Reports have been received that Marshall Islands flag vessel FEDERAL DANUBE (22,654gt, built 2004) suffered a partial main engine failure on 25th January 2016.
The bulk carrier is proceeding with limited power to Baie-Comeau for repair. The vessel is on a voyage from Belgium to Canada.
It is possible that General Average will be declared as a result of this incident.
