Reports have been received that Panama flag vessel M. STAR 1 (4382gt, built 1994) ran aground on 22nd December off Honshu Island, Japan.
The Incident happened after the vessel encountered rough seas caused by a storm. All 18 crew members were rescued by military helicopters.
The vessel is on a voyage to Akita, Japan from Incheon, Korea.
