Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel ABYO ANGELINA (42,898gt, built 2006) has run aground on the Parana River after loading a cargo of iron ore for China.
We understand that repairs to the vessel must be made following which tugs will be instructed to attempt to refloat the vessel.
It is possible that General Average will be declared as a result of this incident.
