Reports have been received that Bermuda flag vessel GENMAR COMPANION (41,589gt built 2004) suffered a crack in her deck yesterday.
The vessel is on a voyage from Rotterdam to New York. We understand that she is deviating to Cork as a port of refuge.
As a consequence, it is possible that general average claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel.
