Reports have been received that Barbados flag vessel KEA (9801gt built 1982) has taken on a 60 degree list off the coast of Spain.
Two of the vessels crew are reported missing whereas others have been rescued. If is not yet clear if the vessel can be saved.
If the vessel can be rescued then it is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
