Following the missile strike on 19 July 2024, the owners of the vessel LOBIVIA (23,652gt, built 2001) have now declared general average.
LOBIVIA, a container vessel, was struck by a Houthi missiles in the Gulf of Aden, about three days after having sailed from Djibouti destined for Colombo.
The vessel was forced to seek refuge in the port of Berbera, and remains in Somalia at this time.
