Reports have been received that Korean flag vessel KELSEY 2 (5,328gt, built 2002) sank yesterday approximately 25 miles south of Wuqui Island, Taiwan.
One crew member is reported to have lost his life whilst the remaining nineteen were rescued.
It is understood that the vessel may initially have begun to take on water, probably into the engine room, during the evening of 14 October.
KELYSEY 2, chemical tanker, was on a voyage from Hong Kong to Gunsan, South Korea.
