Reports have been received that Hong Kong flag vessel ORE SHANDONG (201,989gt, built 2012) suffered an engine failure off Mauritius on 13 March 2022.
The crew could not rectify the problem and towage assistance has been requested.
ORE SHANDONG is on a voyage from Lumut, Malaysia to Ponta da Madeira, Brazil. The vessel, a bulk carrier, sailed from Lumut on 18 February 2022.
