Reports have been received that Gabon flag vessel SUVARI H (7,662gt, built 1993) sank, or was close to sinking, in the Arabian Sea earlier today.
The general cargo vessel had sailed from Kandla on 26 July 2021. Reportedly five of the eighteen crew members were rescued and a search for the remaining thirteen is underway.
