Reports have been received that Korean flag vessel SAMSUNG NO.1 (3,578gt, built 1984) sank today whilst on a voyage from Jeju, South Korea to Goheung, South Korea.
The incident happened in approximate position lat 34 05 20N, long 126 57 16E. The reason the vessel sank is unknown at present.
Eight crew members were safely rescued by a Coast Guard rescue team. One crew member has been reported missing
