Reports have been received that Vanuatu flag vessel SOUTHWESTER (4,150, built 1998) sank today off the coast of Portugal.
The vessel’s crew of 14 were rescued by a nearby vessel EM HYDRA and will be taken to Leixoes.
SOUTHWESTER was on a voyage from France to Spain at the time it was lost. The vessel had sailed from Montoir for Seville on 1 November 2020.
