Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel MSF LADY HALOUM (10,546gt, built 1993) ran aground off Tripoli, Libya yesterday.
The general cargo vessel dragged its anchor and ran aground during bad weather. Reportedly the vessel was pushed to the outer breakwater after its anchor chain was broken.
We understand assistance is being provided to the vessel by tug ASSO VENTINOVE and possibly other craft.
