Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel YM MERCURY (4,242gt, built 2010), is under tow to Tuzla, Turkey, after it experienced engine failure south of Crete Island, Greece, on 3rd April 2020.
Towage commenced the following day by tug MENTORAS. During Canakkale Strait passage coastal safety tugs will escort vessel. The vessel is expected to arrive at Tuzla over this coming weekend.
