Reports have been received that Italian flag vessel CDRY BLUE (5,269gt, built 2010) lost engine power and ran aground off Sardinia on 21st December 2019.
The crew requested urgent assistance and a helicopter and a salvage team from Italian Coast Guard attended the scene. All the crew were safely evacuated from the vessel to shore.
Once the weather conditions improve, surveyors and the salvage team together with divers will attend onboard to ascertain the cause of the incident and the extent of damages sustained.
