Reports have been received that Vietnamese flag vessel AULAC FORTUNE (11,290gt, built 2010) suffered a explosion and fire on board of Lamma Island, Hong Kong, today.
Reportedly crew members either fell or jumped overboard and a rescue mission has been launched. 21 of the 25 crew were reported as rescued as of earlier today.
AULAC FORTUNE has developed a list and black smoke can be seen billowing from the vessel. Inhabitants of the nearby island reported hearing the explosion on board.
