*****FOLLOW UP – RECOVERY PROSPECTS IMPROVING*****

The major loss of containers from vessel MSC ZOE at the beginning of this year has been widely reported in the marine insurance market. 342 containers were lost and others suffered damage.

Dolphin Maritime is dealing with recovery claims, on behalf of cargo insurers, against the carriers in respect of cargo that was lost/damaged.

The purpose of this message, which is being circulated to our various contacts in the insurance market, is to let you know that, if you also insured cargo involved in this incident, we are ready to assist you.

It is important that steps are taken as soon as possible against the carriers, as such claims may shortly become time barred.

*****INITIAL REPORT*****

Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel MSC ZOE (192,237gt built 2015) lost 207 containers overboard in heavy seas off the Dutch coast yesterday.

The container vessel, which was en route from Sines in Portugal to Bremerhaven in Germany, ran into a storm off Borkum Island last night. Some of the containers have been located.

MSC ZOE trades between ports in the Far East and Europe. Prior to Sines, she had called at ports in Malaysia, China and South Korea. It is likely that she is carrying transhipment cargoes from and to other countries as well.
