Liberian flag vessel TRF KAYA (28,616gt, built 2007) was reportedly struck by a passing vessel earlier today whilst berthed at Cat Lai Terminal, Ho Chi Minh City.

The container vessel suffered structural damage as a result as well as damage to cargo on board. One container, containing frozen fish, went overboard.

There are reports of local people attempting to loot the cargoes that had fallen from damaged containers into the river.

TRF KAYA trades between ports in Vietnam, Thailand and China.
