Reports have been received that Bahamas flag vessel AVOCET ARROW (37,128gt, built 2015) ran aground yesterday on the Parana River.
One tug attempted to re-float the vessel, which is obstructing navigation, but without success. A second tug will attend the scene today.
Before arriving in Argentina the bulker had sailed from Bayuquan on 19th December and then called at Singapore for bunkers.
It is possible that claims for Salvage and General Average may arise as a result of the grounding of the vessel.
