Reports have been received that Hong Kong flag vessel GREAT AMITY (31,260gt, built 2004) ran aground today on the Parana River near Ramallo.
The vessel remains aground and is obstructing navigation. The bulker is carrying a cargo of 42,273mt of maize from San Lorenzo.
It is possible that General Average and Salvage claims may arise as a result of this accident.
