Reports have been received that Cook Islands flag vessel LILY-HA (8,300gt, built 1982) ran aground off the island of Kos yesterday.
The vessel, with 18 crew on board and carrying a cargo of steel products, is still aground. Heavy seas were reported in the area.
We believe the vessel is destined for Turkey and Syria. It is possible that General Average and Salvage claims may arise as a result of this incident.
