Reports have been received that Panama flag vessel MEGA HOPE (43,537gt, built 2010) collided with cargo vessel ZHONG KAI WANG on 27th November 2014.
The collision resulted in one of MEGA HOPE’s cargo holds being flooded. MEGA HOPE has been towed to Weihai Port and ZHONG KAI WANG sailed to a local shipyard in Shidao for repairs.
There is currently an investigation into this incident which happened in the waters of Shidao, Weihai.
