Reports have been received that Italian flag vessel UGO DE CARLINI (91,971gt, built 2010) suffered hull damage off the coast of Liberia earlier this week.
Salvage services are now being rendered to the vessel by Smith Salvage. The bulk carrier is on a voyage from Tubarao to Huanghua with a cargo of iron ore fines.
The insurers of the cargo on board will be required to provide salvage security on a form acceptable to Salvors. Dolphin Maritime can arrange that security.
It is also likely that General Average will be declared.
