Reports have been received that Marshall Islands flag vessel MEGACORE PHILOMENA (42208gt, built2010) was immobilised 70 miles off Jeddah on 5th November,
A tug was sent from its salvage station in Greece as no available tugs could be found in the Red Sea at the time.
Tug “Med Fos” reached the casualty on November 12th and is currently towing MEGACORE PHILOMENA to Suez under the terms of an Lloyds Open Form salvage contract.
