Reports have been received that Panama flag vessel BINGO (5691gt, built2007) has sunk in the Indian Ocean during rough seas caused by cyclone Phailin.
We understand that the ship’s crew of 20 have been picked up by the Coast Guard.
The vessel was carrying a cargo of 8,000 tons iron ore from India to China.
