Reports have been received that Bahamas flag vessel BALTIC ACE (23948gt built 2007) was in collision with Cyprus flagged vessel CORVUS J (6370gt built 2003) yesterday night in the North Sea.
BALTIC ACE sank as a result of the collision. Thirteen of hew crew have been rescued but tragically four of her crew are know to have been lost. A search continues for another seven crew members.
CORVUS J, en route to Antwerp, was badly damaged in the collision but all of her crewmembers are reportedly safe and well.
