Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel LUCY OLDENDORFF (20867gt built 2011) experienced a fire in one of her holds while anchored off Tauranga New Zealand today.
The bulk carrier also experienced a fire in the same hold four days ago, but the fire was thought to be extinguished and the ship was able to continue her voyage.
Fire fighters are now monitoring the situation. The cargo is palm kernels. The ship sailed from Pasir Gudang on 28th July 2012.
