Reports have been received that Malaysian flag vessel MAY 1 (4355gt built 1990) has encountered engine problems on her current voyage to New Mangalore.
The vessel is approaching Colachel port, near Kanyakumari District, for repairs. It is hoped that she can then resume her voyage to India.
MAY 1 is carrying a cargo of palm oil. She had sailed from Belawan on 18th June 2012.
