Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel GASCHEM WERRA (5961gt built 2011) has suffered a technical failure on her voyage from Illichivsh to Lavera.
The gas carrier has been taken in tow by tug EMRE OMUR. It is expected that the tug and tow will reach Lavera 29th April 2012,
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
