Reports have been received that Panama flag vessel ACHILLEAS (22,953gt built 1985) sustained damage to her propeller shaft between Kassos and Crete earlier this month.
As a result of this, Salvage services were rendered to the bulk carrier by professional salvors, Five Oceans Salvage Consultants Limited.
It is likely that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
