Reports have been received that Norwegian flag vessel LYSBLINK (7,409gt built 2000) has suffered an engine failure west of Hvide Sande.
A salvage tug has been sent to assist the vessel. We understand that the casualty is being towed into Esbjerg for repairs.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
