The owners of the vessel CAFER DEDE have signed an LOF salvage contract with Tsavliris Salvage. General Average has been declared.
At this time the salvage operation is still underway. In due course cargo insurers will be asked to provide Salvage and General Average security.
We are already acting for the insurers of part of the cargo on this vessel. Should you also require assistance then we look forward to hearing from you.

Reports have been received that Marshall Islands flag vessel CAFER DEDE (21,092gt built 2008) has run aground off Syros Island.
The containership has a crew of 19 on board. Salvage assistance has been requested. The vessel trades around Europe but is likely to also be carrying transhipment cargoes for other areas of the world.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
