Reports have been received that Antigua flag vessel KATJA (3,806gt built 1994) has been towed into Dover following a turbo charger problem.
The vessel is on a voyage from Rotterdam to Liverpool. She was taken in tow by tug Fairmount Expedition. Repairs to the vessel are underway.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
