Reports have been received that Dutch flag vessel COOLWATER (3674gt built 2008) ran aground today outside Antwerp.
The tanker, en route to Spain, was assisted by URS tug UNION AMBER and refloated. We understand that the vessel will return to her load port.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
