Reports have been received that Chinese flag vessel FU PING YUAN (2195gt built 1990) has sunk after colliding with Panamanian flag tanker CS CRANE (7675gt built 2007).
Coast guard vessels were sent to the scene and the crew of FU PING YUAN were rescued. The vessel and her cargo of steel have been lost.
FU PING YUAN was on a voyage from Xingang to Icnheon with 3300mt of steel. CS CRANE was sailng between Korean ports.
