Date: 23 May 2021   Type: Grounding   Voyage: Yemen to UAE

Reports have been received that Togo flag vessel MUZAH (3,125gt, built 1991) ran aground off Salalah, Oman on 23 May 2021.

As a result, the general cargo vessel suffered water ingress into the engine room. The vessel’s crew of 12 were rescued by the Royal Oman Air Force.

MUZAH was on a voyage from Yemen to UAE. It appears unlikely that the voyage will be completed, at least in the near future.
