Reports have been received that German flag vessel HANSA MEERSBURG (18,327gt, built 2007), allided with a gantry crane at Keelung on 8th January 2018.
A stevedore is understood to have been injured in the incident.
Between 50 and 80 containers that were stowed on deck of HANSA MEERSBURG have been damaged to varying degrees.
Prior to Keelung, the vessel had loaded cargoes in Vietnam and various Chinese ports.
