Reports have been received that Chinese flag vessel LE SHENG (15,525gt, built 1999) was in collision with Panamanian flag vessel CAPE MED (93,003gt, built 2006) off Algeciras today.
As a result of the collision, LE SHENG was holed and took on water into one of her cargo holds.
LE SHENG is on a voyage from China and called at various ports along the West African coast before arriving off Algeciras
