Reports have been received that Panama flag vessel RICH FOREST (13295gt, built 1982) was abandoned by her crew whilst 440 miles west of Guam yesterday.
The bulk carrier, with a cargo of logs destined for China, was abandoned after she began to take on water and lost propulsion.
The crew have been picked up by another cargo vessel. RICH FOREST is reportedly still unpowered and adrift.
