Reports have been received that Dutch flag vessel STATENGRACHT (16639gt built 2004) was in collision with Maltese flag vessel KATRE (2487gt
built 1991) off Rugen yesterday.
As a result of the collision, STATENGRACHT, carrying wood pellets from Rauma, suffered water ingress into a cargo hold and took on a 10
degree list.
STATENGRACHT was subsequently escorted to Rostock. KATRE has docked at Mukran. Investigation by the German authorities is underway.
