Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel DS AGILITY (9940gt built 2008) grounded yesterday whilst leaving Copenhagen.
The containership was destined for Bremerhaven. We understand that tug assistance was required and the vessel was towed back to the berth.
DS AGILITY generally operates between Scandinavian and other Northern European ports, but she is likely to be carrying transhipment cargo for other regions as well.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
