Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel MARTI PRINCESS (6019gt built 2008) has been in collision with German container vessel RENATE SCHULTE (14619gt built 1994).
MARTI PRINCESS suffered the accident shortly after leaving Gemlik. She is understood to be damaged amidships. RENATE SCHULTE, in ballast, has damage to her forepeak.
