Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel EFES (4,086gt, built 1999) is presently adrift off the west coast of India, in approximate position lat 13 24 58N, long 088 16 38E.
A fire was reported on board earlier this week, and vessels in the vicinity have been asked to assist if possible.
EFES appears to be without power at this time, presumably as a result of the fire.
The vessel had sailed from Visakhapatnam on 17 August, having previously called at Colombo and ports in the Gulf.
