Reports have been received that Indonesian flag vessel SEABORNE PETRO (57,529gt, built 2003) suffered an engine room fire yesterday whilst in the Sunda Strait.
No injuries have been reported. The vessel broadcasted a mayday signal and it is understood the crew may have abandoned the vessel in lifeboats. Emergency services are assisting.
