Reports have been received that Singapore flag vessel CK VENTURE (44,453gt, built 2012) suffered a generator breakdown on 28 May 2022.
The problem could not be resolved by the crew and the vessel had to be towed to Port Klang, Malaysia, as port of refuge.
The vessel’s owners have declared General Average and average security is required from cargo insurers before the cargoes can be delivered.
CK VENTURE has on board a cargo of approximately 70,000mts soybeans loaded at Itaqui, Brazil from where the vessel sailed on 22 April 2022. The cargo is destined for Kohsichang, Thailand.
