Reports have been received that the crew of Mongolian flag vessel (4,735gt built 1995) sent a distress signal whilst the vessel was off the coast of Vietnam yesterday.
Reportedly, the crew have abandoned the vessel to life rafts. Vessels in the vicinity have been asked to keep a look out for the crew.
MING YUE 69 was on a voyage from An Ping in Taiwan from where the vessel had sailed on 28 November 2021. The next port of call was to be Ho Chi Minh City.
