Reports have been received that Indonesian flag vessel SINAR AMBON (3,430gt, built 2006) suffered a fire on board on 27 October 2021 whilst on the Barito River.
Four crew members were injured as a result and one other crew member, who is thought to have jumped off the vessel, is missing.
The general cargo vessel, carrying containers, was on a voyage from Surabaya to Banjarmasin when the fire broke out in the engine room.
