Reports have been received that Togo flag vessel SEA BIRD (4,337gt, built 1984) sank earlier today off the island of Crete.
The vessel’s crew members were rescued, and no pollution has been reported to date. SEA BIRD, carrying 7,000mt of wheat from Ukraine to Tunisia, ran into the islet of Kavari before sinking.
