Reports have been received that Antigua and Barbuda flag vessel UNISPACE (7,752gt, built 2003) became disabled off Gansbaai yesterday.
The vessel, on a voyage from Namibia and Angola to South Africa, found itself in danger in heavy seas and salvage tug SA AMANDLA was sent to assist. The convoy is now headed towards Cape Town.
