Reports have been received that Dutch flag vessel KONINGSBORG (6,142gt, built 1998) ran aground yesterday in the Angerman River, Sweden.
The vessel was reportedly sailing at six knots when it grounded on a sandy bottom. Efforts are being made to free the vessel.
KONINGSBORG is on a voyage to Casablanca carrying a cargo of timber. It is possible that claims for salvage and general average may arise as a result of this incident.
