Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel LA CHESNAIS (24,604gt, built 2015) ran aground in the Parana River yesterday after sailing from San Lorenzo.
Two tugs, BRUTUS and BURONDI sailed from Rosario to provide assistance to the stricken bulk carrier. It is understood that the vessel is still aground at this time.
